Good news, I'm not planning to reboot (again) the Terminator film sagas. The first film was good enough to be remade into Terminator 2 so there is no need for anymore killer robots. The terminator reference(Killer robots were numbered T-XXX) links to the serial number of a cruz android mini tablet that a dear friend recently gave to me. The little screen and hardware was not bad for a 3 year old piece of kit but the software was slow, bloated and not useful. During my attempts to remove sed software, i managed to bork the os system (computer #6 on my run of death!) but still had ADB access.

I've found an excellent tutorial which showed how to root, install a new bootloader. speed up and then flash the firmware to a useable (with Google play) Froyo tablet. The resulting machine isn't lightening quick, doesn't have many apps but is an excellent portable gmail / calendar / web / XBMC remote / common prayer device. It is a good fit to my current needs.
