Two Shades of Shada

Posted by Andy in Misc

I've been a fan of Doctor who informally for many many years but my rediscovering happened when on a conference to Salzberg, I bought a Dr who book to read. The Shadow of the Glass is awesome book and sent me spinning into the time vortex once more.

Now, today is a special day as for my birthday, I received from lovely Wifey-wife a copy of Shada, the serial which was killed off by a BBC strike in 1980. During my recent jollies in england, I managed to grab a copy of the book from oxfam for a mere 2 pounds. My joy at receiving this new book is that it is the hungarian translation of Shada, imaginatively titled,...

Shada

I need motivation to improve my hungarian, I don't really like watching dubbed Tv and the native programs aren't really my cup of Tea. Also, I'm not a huge fiction reader, in fact, I just read Dr who books. So, this book is a great story and 400 pages of great reason to improve my hungarian. I also have the original to hand to help with understanding.

I feel my Hungarian will have a Galifrian accent, Valaki egy Jelly-baby-t szeretné?
