I've been looking for a second hand scooter for a while. Looking is an over exaggeration, more of being an interested party. My work has relocated to the edge of Szeged. The work-home commute is perfect as my bus passes the front door and only takes 26 mins door to door. However, traveling from work anywhere else would take too long.

A 50 cc scooter fits the bill perfectly as I can drive it on a car license, it is relatively cheap and simple to run and parking in town is free. I've bought a nice little 50cc scooter, a Malaguti Phantom F12 from a good friend. It is liquid-cooled and just perfect. It is 10 years old but still purr. The only problem from the long drive home after buying it was my numb butt!<br>

An interesting thought came into my head as I was traveling home. I've become the exact opposite of my parents. My parents were very much bikers in the 60s. I on the other hand am an aging rocker who rides a scooter wearing his Dad's custom wax jacket (now about 50+ years old). I'll post a photo of me in the jacket when I buy a new crash helmet.
