Its been coming for a while but we've had to retire our first generation raspberrypi as our media center system. It works well enough but we've obtained an XboxOne and recently Kodi has release an alpha version for it. The pi has just run out of steam, it struggles running a full OSMC system and borks with large files/x265. I could find the problems, optimise and streamline everything but it seems a little redundant when there is a a massive computer in the form of a game console sitting next to the tv. The xbox barely sweats running everything and also works as our Neflix interface with our new unlimited internet. It seems a shame to retire the pi but it works well and has much life left in it and will be used in another project soon.
