The internet has encouraged me to collect guitar pedals. There is so many options out there. I've recemtly bought an MD200 so that I can flavour my acoustic stuff a little chorus/phase and random noise I've ovedrive heaven with the bad monkey tube screamer clone which is loud, toney and crunchy and then hard-rock kick with the marshall gu'vernor.

However, the crown in the jewel is the Harley Benton PA-100 Power Attenuator. This unsexy box sits on top of the Marshall and makes it scream. Basically, it a master volume for the amp. I can run The amp on 50% power and still have my hearing. Do valve amps sound better when running at high power, yes very very very much better. The distortion is more bouncy, the clean sounds shimmers, it is literally a different beast from the low-power/volume amp. There is a treble cut from the box but that can be fixed with eq and my amp is quite trebly anyway :)
